I like crochet and knitting while listening to podcasts or watching videos that don't need that much looking, just listening. The problem is, I spend a few hours looking for a nice pattern, start it and... then forget about it. Recently I had some free time and watched a D&D campaign on Youtube called High Rollers. That's a lot of content, and I had nothing to do with my hands. I found this beautiful doily pattern and started doing, not expecting much progress.

I proved myself wrong! Here is the finished product! There are a few small mistakes, but nothing noticeable. After blocking the center flower settled beautifully, before it was a wrinkly mess. Proves that you always need to block a lacey crochet or knitting project!

Afterwards I started another doily, which is actually a modified oval doily. The pattern can be found here. Instead of 35 blocks in the middle I ended up with 65 blocks. I think any odd amount would do. It doesn't look like much yet, but the patterns will be more defined after blocking. I'm not as happy with the design as in the round doily, but extendable oval doily patterns aren't that easy to find! A lot of them have pineapples too, and for some reason I really dislike those.
